What are the five citability factors?
Answer-First Structure (the answer leads the block, not a wind-up), Self-Containment (the chunk makes sense lifted out of the page), Statistical Density (specific numbers, data), Definitional Clarity (the core term is explicitly defined), and Uniqueness (no filler phrases or run-on sentences). Answer engines preferentially extract passages that score high on all five.
Does the rewrite invent facts or statistics?
No. The rewrite is deterministic restructuring. It reorders to lead with the answer, strips throat-clearing openers, splits run-on sentences, and removes filler phrases while preserving every fact you wrote. Where a block lacks a statistic or a definition, the tool flags it as a recommendation rather than fabricating data. You stay the author of every claim.
What size block should I paste?
Two to six sentences works best, roughly the size of passage an answer engine actually lifts. Paste the specific block you want to win a citation, for example the paragraph under a question heading or the lead of a section, rather than a whole article. You can run each block on a page separately.
Is the analysis sent to a server?
No. The diagnosis and the rewrite both run entirely in your browser with deterministic linguistics. Your text never leaves the page and nothing is sent to any API.
Why does my self-contained paragraph score low on containment?
The most common cause is an opening reference with no antecedent inside the block: "This means...", "It also...", "They tend to...". When an answer engine lifts the passage alone, those words point at nothing. Replace the pronoun with the noun it refers to and the block becomes liftable.
How is this different from a readability checker?
Readability tools score reading grade. This tool scores extractability: whether an AI answer engine can lift the block intact and trust it as a self-contained answer. Reading grade is one input to the Uniqueness factor, but answer-first structure, self-containment, statistical density, and definitional clarity are the factors that actually decide citation.
